- Ensure the installation conforms to the project’s design intent for Electrical and Low Voltage Systems, adheres to the approved specifications, shop drawings, and complies with both Local and International Standards.
Sizing of Cable Management Systems
- In cases where Cable Trays/Trunking sizes are not specified in the drawings, select a size that supports the cables without overcrowding, factoring in a 25% reserve margin for size and weight capacity.
Support and Stability
- Install steel brackets at appropriate intervals to provide a solid and rigid support for the Cable Trays/Trunking, ensuring that the deflection does not exceed 5mm at the mid-span when the system is fully loaded.
Earth Continuity
- Install earth continuity conductors across any gaps in the Cable Tray/Trunking runs, securing them with bolts to maintain electrical continuity.
